As I said on the other blog and will hastily copypasta here — it’s been a long, busy, wacky year (or it was in 2013) but one of my resolutions for this one was to finally allow myself more time to put together more updates here. Here are a few articles of interest you can expect in upcoming months, starting February! Hooray.

Hope everyone had a happy, non-too-dysfunctional Valentine’s day.

SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #10DAN SLOTT (W) • GIUSEPPE Camunicoli (A)Cover by MARCOS MARTINIT BEGINS HERE!!• A perfect jumping on point as The Green Goblin returns…and Spider-Man is nowhere to be found!

Well, well, well. It was only a matter of time! Now, since the solicit doesn’t say Norman Osborn I think there’s a possibility the Green Goblin could be someone else this time (there’s a pool of at least four other potential candidates) but also that it’s quite fair to assume… probably.
Regardless; something to look forward to in May 2013.

"A visit to Petey’s pad" indeed. Interesting decor (college students notably keep bowls of fruit in their apartments, it’s true) to be sure, but don’t patronize us, Stan Lee, what’s not to interest us about Harry’s room?
But then I suppose “no one caring about Harry” would have never reached the memetic status it has by now. Gosh Harry, get out of Petey’s pad that your father owns and Peter’s not paying you any rent money for! This guy.

Well, ouch.

(From ASM#599 and ASM#122)

Poor Harry, although in ASM #122 Peter is not in his right mind or okay, being this the aftermath of Gwen Stacy’s death…

That was mere hours after Gwen’s death, if I remember rightly. Poor Peter. (Poor everyone. *wibble*)

It is completely, 100% understandable that Peter would react that way, but it’s also arguably one of the worst things he’s ever done. And that’s why I love this scene so much.

Or paraphrase.

Harry: I didn’t realize you and my dad knew each other well enough that he’d ask about you.
Peter: Harry…
Harry: Hey. No big.
Peter (Narration): I wanted to be happy for Harry, Gwen. His father was finally out of the hospital and yet…

You have to give Harry one thing: he manages to be both passive-aggressive and disarming at once like a real professional. Say what you will, Norman, but the boy’s a born businessman.
